Snow on Ararat

Mount Ararat is highest peak of Turkey. It rise up near the border of Armenia-Iran and Turkey with an elevation of 5137 meters.

Ararat, in summer season ( June - July - Aug ) is usually dry and very hot. It is best time for have succesfull trekking to the summit .

Mount Ararat (Turkish: Ağrı Dağı; Armenian: Արարատ or Masis Մասիս, see below for its other names and etymology) is a snow-capped, dormant volcanic cone in Turkey. It has two peaks: Greater Ararat (the highest peak in Turkey and the entire Armenian plateau with an elevation of 5,137 m or 16,854 ft) and Lesser Ararat (with an elevation of 3,896 m or 12,782 ft).

The Ararat massif is about 40 km (25 mi) in diameter. The Iran-Turkey boundary skirts east of Lesser Ararat, the lower peak of the Ararat massif. It was in this area that, by the Tehran Convention of 1932, a border change was made in Turkey's favour, allowing it to occupy the eastern flank of Lesser Ararat.

Mount Ararat in Judeo-Christian tradition is associated with the "Mountains of Ararat" where, according to the book of Genesis, Noah's ark came to rest.

It also plays a significant role in Armenian culture and nationalism. The mountain can be seen on the coat of arms of Armenia.
Here is our best trekking tour itinerary which we choose for you! 

Day 1 : Transfer by minibuses from hotel in Dogubayazit to Mount Ararat village at 2200 meters.

Start trekking from the car point to Mount Ararat Camp at 3200 meters. Arrive to camp. Overnight in tents.

Day 2 : Acclimatization on Mount Ararat. We trekking to 4200 meters and return back to first camp place for dinner and rest. Overnight 1 more night in camp.

Day 3: We climb to second camp at 4200 meters on Ararat. Take rest. Eat dinner. Overnight.

Day 4 : After midnight we wake up and prepare ourselves for Mount Ararat Summit. After Ararat summit we back to camp to rest and than we descent all the way down till village at 2200 meters. BY minibuses we back to Dogubayazit. Overnight in hotel.
